Overview
There are two possible types of upgrades:
- Web Application and Proxy Upgrade
- Riscosity Installer Upgrade
Typically, most upgrades will just be for the Web Application and Proxy Upgrade. If you are unsure whether you need to upgrade your Riscosity Installer, please reach out to us.
Web Application and Proxy Upgrade
- Login to the Riscosity Installer.
- Update AMI IDs under Web App and Proxy tab.
- Proceed to Confirm and Submit tab and click on Create / Update stack.
This takes care of auto-scaling of all resources and bringing up the new ones.
Riscosity Installer Upgrade
- Go to AWS Console > Cloudformation > Stacks and select the current installer.
- Choose ‘Replace existing template’ and ‘upload a template’ options to upload the new CFT provided. Skip this if there are no CFT changes.
- Click Next to proceed and enter the new installer AMI Id under RiscosityInstallerAMIId
- Scroll down and set RiscosityInstallerStatus as ‘Shut Down’ and submit.
- Go forward using the Next button after selecting "I acknowledge" and click Submit to save the changes.
- Repeat the process to update RiscosityInstallerStatus and set it as Enabled and proceed.
This is done to bring down the old installer and spin up the new installer.
